First, have you recently reinstalled the app on your iPhone? If not, please follow the directions below. Rest assured, your data is saved to Stride's secure servers and not locally to your Apple device; Reinstalling the app won't impact your data in the least!
1) Delete the app from your iPhone
2) Re-download the app from the App Store
3) Log back in with the email address that you originally used to sign up
Memory overload is a big cause of mileage tracking issues on iOS devices. When you run too many apps at once, you overload the phone's memory, especially with older models. This can result in your iPhone automatically stopping a drive recording or may even cause a crash.
To prevent memory overloads:
- Perform a soft reset. This will clear the memory on your phone and only takes about two minutes. It's essentially just shutting down your app and then turning it back on—It won't do any harm to your data.
- When driving, close apps that aren't specifically related to your job. You can still keep the essentials open such as Google Maps, your company's platform, and the Stride app. Try closing out any social media, games, and video streaming apps.
