If you are having trouble removing or adding family members and/or dependents to your application, follow these instructions. An example of this might be a husband, wife, or parent showing incorrectly when it is supposed to say "myself."
The steps to correct your household will vary based on which state you're applying from!
- If you are applying in most states:
- You'll want to click through to your application and navigate to the "household information" page. On that page, you will be able to remove the dependents or family members you are trying to take off your coverage.
For most states, you'll start at the page that states "Amazing! We've got everyone now.".
- You'll then scroll toward the bottom of this page and select the "click here" that follows the suggestion "If you need to add or remove members of your household to the application".
- You'll then be at the "Who is applying for health coverage?" screen and click the "Manage List" link to remove family members from the application.

As you can also see in the above GIF, there is also an "Add a person who needs coverage" on the "Who is applying for health coverage?" screen.
Be sure to click "Save and Continue" to move forward with the correct amount of people!
For California, any other state exchange (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington State, Colorado, Maryland, New York, Virginia, Nevada), and any off-exchange members:
- You will need to "Start Over" to remove the family member from your application.
- From any section in the application click the "Stride" logo up at the top left of the page. This will bring you to Stride's home page.
- Click "My Dashboard" at the top of the home page then click "Start Over" on the health card.
- This will take you back to the beginning of the application process where you will be able to enter only the members you wish to move forward with.

If you've already submitted your application and are in California, any state exchange, and any off-exchange, and would like to make a change to family members on your account you'll need to send Stride a message!
- From your Stride dashboard, you'll click on "See plan details" on your health card.
- Then click "Modify Plan", you'll then select "Update plan" followed by "My family members" and click "Submit".
- This will trigger your request for the update to be sent to our Member Experience team who will be reaching out to you shortly after!
