While your plan is scheduled to begin on the 1st of the month, please be advised that Renaissance places all newly enrolled individuals in an “on-hold” status until the initial premium payment is successfully deducted from their account. This payment process typically takes up to 72 hours. During this time, claim submissions through Renaissance will not be permitted until the payment has been fully processed.
When will my dental and vision coverage become effective?
To ensure that your visits are covered, please schedule any appointments with your dentist or optometrist on or after your plan’s effective coverage start date. If you choose to receive services prior to this date, your insurance will not provide coverage, as benefits do not begin until the effective date has been reached.
After I submit my application, what do I do next?
Initially, we advise that you please allow 2-3 business days for your application to be processed by Renaissance and VSP, during which time your online portal will likely not be available.
Once your application has been processed, you'll need to register through Renaissance's Account Manager website and complete your initial premium right away.
You can complete this payment directly in your online Renaissance member portal by following these instructions below:
- Visit Renaissance's online member portal here
- Register using your first name, last name, date of birth, and social security number, then select "Subscriber" if you're the primary on the plan
- Click "Proceed to Register"
- Once logged in, select the "Payment" option at the top of the page
- Then follow the steps to "Edit" autopay or "Make a Payment"
