Health insurance
If you apply for health insurance during Open Enrollment (November-December), your plan will start on January 1 of the following year unless you have a qualifying event that allows your plan to start earlier.
If you apply for health plans outside of Open Enrollment, and you have a qualifying event, your plan will start the first of the following month.
Dental and vision insurance
Most dental and vision plans on Stride start the following day after you submit your application. If you are guided to Allstate or Ameritas for dental/vision coverage, these plans will start the following day after you e-sign. Please confirm that your bank account/credit card was charged to confirm that your coverage has activated.
