Adding your income to the Stride app is super easy and allows you to see how much money you should set aside for your taxes so you aren’t caught off guard when quarterly tax time comes around. You can even link your bank account to have your income automatically show up in the app—like magic (more on that here). Simply open your Stride app and follow the directions below.
How to add income on the Stride app:
- Tap the yellow "+" button
- Enter your daily gross income for the selected date
- Select "Add Income" and then tap "Add"
- Find out how much you should set aside for estimated taxes on the "Weekly Insights" screen!
- From here you can select the "Add more income" option to continue adding income entries or you can tap on the "Done" button to be taken to the "2024 Estimated Taxes" screen.
Tip: You can still view your weekly income on the "2024 Estimated Taxes" list! You can navigate to this screen by tapping on the "Taxes" icon and then selecting "Details".

How to make changes to an income entry on the Stride app:

Follow these steps to edit an income entry:
- On the home screen in the Stride app, tap on the "Taxes" icon to the left of the yellow "+" button to open your Tax Dashboard.
- Once on the "2024 Tax Dashboard" screen (want a different tax year? Tap on the header to filter to a prior year), select "View Transactions" under the business profit graph.
- This will pull up your 2024 Deductions with two columns, "Deductions" and "Income." Tap on "Income" to be taken to the "2024 Income" screen to see a list of your income entries.
- Tap on the income entry you would like to edit to open it up. You can view entries "Weekly" or tab on the three-bar icon to the right to view "All" entries.
- If you're viewing "All" entries, select the pencil icon in the top right-hand corner of the "Weekly Insights" screen to open up the "Update income" screen
- On the "Update Income" screen, the "Income" field can be edited if the amount initially entered needs to be updated. Modify the number(s) to the desired dollar amount.
- Select "Update" at the bottom of the screen.
- If you're viewing "Weekly" entries, select the week you'd like to make edits to be taken to the income screen, scroll down, and select the entry you'd like to edit.
- After making edits to the amount select "Update" at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on the back arrow on the "Weekly Insights" screen.
- On the "2024 Income" screen you'll see any edits applied to your income amounts.
Follow these steps to delete an income entry:
- On the home screen in the Stride app, tap on the "Taxes" icon to the left of the yellow "+" button to open your Tax Dashboard.

- Tap on the trashcan icon in the top right-hand corner of the "Update Income" screen
- Select "OK" to the "Are you sure you want to delete this income?" confirmation pop-up
- If you're viewing "Weekly" entries, select the week you'd like to make edits to be taken to the income screen, scroll down, and select the entry you'd like to edit.
- Tap on the trashcan icon in the top right-hand corner of the "Update Income" screen
- Select "OK" to the "Are you sure you want to delete this income?" confirmation pop-up
- Tap on the back arrow on the "Weekly Insights" screen.
- On the "2024 Income" screen you'll see the deleted income entry will disappear.
