You can transfer money to and from your Stride Save* account in two ways:
- Linking an external bank account through Plaid - we use Plaid to connect your external bank to your Stride Save account so you can easily and securely transfer funds at your convenience
- From your bank account, manually entering Stride Save's account and routing numbers
Option 1 - Add a bank to your Stride Save account through Plaid:
- Go into your Stride Save account and click “Add money.”
- Follow the prompts to select your external bank and enter your login information.
You can also connect your external bank account while creating a custom savings goal and recurring transfer.
Option 2 - Link to Stride Save from your bank account:
- Log into your bank account
- Go through the steps to add a bank, or transfer to another account
- You will be asked for your Stride Save account and routing numbers. You can capture these by clicking on the three dot menu in your Stride Save account screen and clicking "Account Details"
- Once you have added your Stride Save account and routing number, your bank will send a micro-deposit (usually a few cents) to your Stride Save account to test the link
- Your Bank will provide additional instructions on next steps for verification
To transfer money to your Stride Save account:
After connecting your bank account, here's how to transfer money from your connected external bank account to your Stride Save account:
- Click into the Stride Save account that you want to fund (either your main debit account or a custom savings goal).
- To make a one-time transfer, click “Add money” and follow the instructions.
- To set up a recurring transfer, click the three-dot icon next to “Move money out”, select “Set up a Recurring Deposit” from the menu that appears, and follow the instructions.
Transfers may take 3-5 business days to become available in your Stride Save account.
How long do transfers take?
Transfers to Stride Save that are initiated from an external institution may take three to five business days to arrive in your account.
Can I deposit checks, cash, or money orders?
Currently, Stride Save cannot accept check, cash, or money order deposits.
Are there limits to how much I can transfer?
Your initial transfer limits are $500 per day, and $5,000 per month. Stride can raise your transfer limits if you meet certain criteria. To make a request, reach out by clicking “Additional support” on your Stride Save dashboard. For additional information on transactions and limits, please refer to your Account Disclosures.
Are there limits to how much I can have in my account? Are there minimums?
No, there is no minimum or maximum balance amount for your Stride Save account.
