What kind of card is issued with my Stride account?
You get a virtual debit card that’s linked to your Stride Save account. You can use this virtual card to make secure online purchases or set up recurring online payments from your main account.
Please note that you will not be issued a physical card and can’t add your virtual card to your digital wallet.
What is a virtual card?
A virtual debit card is a lot like a physical debit card, just in digital form! You can use your Stride Save virtual card to make purchases online or over the phone just like you would with a physical card.
Like physical cards, your Stride Save debit card also has an expiration date, the name of the card network (Mastercard), a Card Verification Value (CVV) code, and your name. You can view your card information in your account page.
Can I get a physical card?
At this time, physical debit cards are not supported.
Can I share my card with others?
At this time, multiple card holders are not supported.
How do I use my virtual card?
You can use your virtual card to make online purchases and recurring payments. To make a virtual card payment online:
- Choose the debit/credit card option at checkout.
- Open your Stride Save dashboard and navigate to the account page to view your virtual card.
- Input your virtual card credentials into the relevant fields on the merchant’s website.
- Make the payment.
How do I get a new virtual card?
If you need a new virtual card, please fill out a support form request and a Stride agent will assist you.
Does my virtual card expire?
Yes, your virtual card expires. You can check your expiration date on your Stride Save dashboard. You’ll be automatically issued a new virtual card when your current card expires.
Do I have to use the virtual card? Can I cancel my virtual card?
If you’d like to close your virtual card but keep your Stride login information active to take advantage of other parts of the platform, please fill out a support form request and an agent will assist you.
