What is APY?
APY, or Annual Percentage Yield, is the potential interest you can earn on your money over the course of a year. This amount is calculated daily and added to your account at the end of the month.
How do you calculate interest?
We use the daily balance method, which means that interest earned on your savings balances accrues daily. Interest transactions are created on the first of the following month and will appear on the next statement. This means that if you earned interest in the month of May, that interest will be deposited in your account on June 1 and appear in your June statement.
Are my balances FDIC-insured?
When we receive the funds that you deposit to your Account, the funds will be held and accounted for so as to be eligible for FDIC insurance, subject to applicable limitations and restrictions of such insurance. Bank may place your deposits with program banks as part of Bank’s deposit sweep program. Your deposits qualify for up to a minimum of $3,000,000 in FDIC insurance coverage when placed at program banks in Bank’s deposit sweep program. Your deposits at each program bank become eligible for FDIC insurance up to $250,000, inclusive of any other deposits you may already hold at that bank in the same ownership capacity. You can access the terms and conditions of the sweep program at https://i3.bank/sweepdisclosure/ and a list of program banks at https://i3.bank/programbanks/.
