All health plans offered through the Marketplace must include the same 10 Essential Health Benefits, as required by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). That means whichever plan you choose, you’ll have coverage for these important services.

Care you receive without being admitted to a hospital, such as visits with your primary care doctor or specialists.Emergency Services
Care for life-threatening conditions that need immediate attention.Hospitalization
Includes surgery, overnight hospital stays, and other inpatient care.Pregnancy, Maternity, and Newborn Care
Care before and after birth, including delivery and newborn checkups.Mental Health & Substance Use Services
Includes counseling, behavioral health treatment, and services for substance use disorders.Prescription Drugs
Medications prescribed by your healthcare provider.Rehabilitative & Habilitative Services and Devices
Support to help you recover or improve skills affected by an injury, disability, or chronic condition.Laboratory Services
Includes diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging.Preventive & Wellness Services, and Chronic Disease Management
Includes screenings, immunizations, and care to help prevent or manage conditions such as diabetes.Pediatric Services (including dental and vision)
Coverage for children’s dental and vision care.
Note: Adult dental and vision coverage are not included as essential benefits.
