It's essential to note that the features of iOS versus Android Stride apps differ.
Stride will only record mileage when you tell it to! To record your mileage, you'll need to manually start recording your drive by clicking the yellow "+" button, and then "Track Miles."
Currently, automatic notifications for tracking are only a feature on the iOS Stride app.
The app does have automatic notifications in the iOS app that will remind you to start your drive, but there are a few settings that need to be in place for you to receive them: Whenever 1) you are moving faster than 5mph, and 2) your phone is plugged in and charging, you'll receive a notification reminding you to start your drive.
You can find this setting by navigating to the home screen of the Stride app and tapping on the profile icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. From here, you'll select "Settings" and then "Notification Settings." On the "Notification Settings" screen, you'll want to make sure the option for reminders is toggled on (there are two options to review, "When I Start Driving" and "When I'm Done Driving").
- Please note: If you don't have notifications turned on for the Stride app, your device won't send any drive reminders!
Tip: There is a "Drive Reminders" option that is featured in both the iOS and Android apps. You'll find by tapping on the profile icon in the upper left-hand corner of your app. You can click on my "Drive Reminders" and "+Add Reminder". You can choose the day of the week and the time you would want to set the reminder, and hit "Set Reminder".
