How are my Engaged Hours calculated?
Engaged Hours are calculated as the time from accepting a trip until dropping off the rider, including driving to the pickup. Hours worked with both Uber and Lyft are combined. You need to average at least 15 "Engaged Hours" per week in Massachusetts during each 3-month qualification period.

- Uber: You can review your recorded active time directly in the Driver App by accessing the MA Benefits Hub, which is a tile located within the Earnings Hub. You can review your stats by selecting “Minimum Driver Pay,” and clicking on the specific biweekly period. Learn more.
- Lyft: You can review your recorded Engaged Hours on the Lyft platform during the current quarter in the minimum earnings recap emails you get every two weeks, and within the Lyft APP, in the Driving Stats section of the Earnings Activity page. Learn more.
- Stride: You can review your pooled Engaged Hours across both Uber and Lyft on your dashboard.
What should I do if my Engaged Hours information on my account looks incorrect?
Uber and Lyft are responsible for tracking your Engaged Hours on their respective apps and individually providing that data to Stride for the Massachusetts Driver Portable Health Fund.
Stride pools drivers’ Engaged Hours across Uber and Lyft based on the Drivers License on your Uber and Lyft profile. To ensure your hours are correctly totaled, make sure to have your Drivers License information up to date in both apps.
If you believe the Engaged Hours from Uber or Lyft shown in Stride Save* is inaccurate, login to the app and ensure your Drivers License number is correct.
- If your Drivers License number is incorrect in either app, correct it and contact Stride Support to update your total hours driven.
- If your Drivers License number is correct in both apps, contact the support team for the specific company where you believe the incorrect hours were accrued to report the issue.
- Uber Driver Support: More information about the benefits can be found in the Massachusetts Benefits Hub within the Driver App. If you believe you have not received the benefits described above, or you have questions regarding your eligibility, you may reach out to Uber support at any time in-app by selecting “Help” on the home screen, or by visiting help.uber.com.
- Lyft Driver Support: Lyft provides driver support primarily through their in-app support system, which is available 24/7. You can access it by opening the Driver app, tapping 'Get help,' and selecting your help topic. From there, you can chat with a support team in real time to get issues resolved quickly.
Drivers have until the end of the eligibility period (July 31, 2025) to report incorrect hours to Stride, Uber and/or Lyft for correction.
